Small groups are great for getting to know a smaller group of people in the church and growing together. We run three home groups that meet 7.45-9.15pm on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month from September to June. We have a cuppa on arrival, study the bible together and pray for one another too. There’s also a men’s group and a women’s group. These meet fortnightly on Mondays at 7.30am and 10.00am respectively, usually on the Monday before Home Groups are on. It’s worth checking the monthly news sheets at church for exact dates… especially for any breaks at half terms, Christmas & Easter!
We meet to pray together on the first and third Wednesdays of the month, 8.00-9.00pm at the church. On the first Wednesday we focus on the needs of the church – our programme and our people – while on the third Wednesday we pray for our mission partners and for the church around the world.
Men’s & Women’s Events
Throughout the year we have around four or five events each for men and women, roughly taking it month-about, aimed at building friendships, exploring topics or inviting friends along. The format can get pretty creative, but, in accordance with best practice, they almost invariably involve food.
Running 11.30am-1.30pm on the second Tuesday of the month, October to May, Friendship Lunch is a chance for those who are retired or free during the day to hear speakers on a wide variety of topics and to enjoy each other’s company over lunch. There’s a small cost of £3 for lunch, and the year ends with an outing on the May date.
